I grew up hearing my mom and dad absentmindedly singing Beatles songs. At school I am known by many boys as the Hippie. And so I couldnt help but buy the following dress from Libra Vintage.
Dress: Libra Vintage {ebay}
Bracelets: Target.
Blue tooth necklace: M&J Trimming in NYC
Fang necklace: Urban Outfitters
Elephant necklace: gift shop of Ostia Antica in Rome

awww. I love this post.
My 5th grade teacher made us watch "Yellow Submarine" in art class to get us inspired. We would make crazy paper mache creatures while listening to the beatles. And when the song "yellow submarine" came on we'd always change it so it was "purple jellybean".
I never thought of it then but I think thats what made me so "free spirited"?
I love the beatles, and my younger brother is obsessed with them! Their music is both timeless and inspirational. I've always thought that hippie-like clothing was cool, and I remember in fourth grade thinking it was so cool to dress up as a hippie for halloween. I can't pull off the hippie thing in real life, but you do it really well.
I linked you! I love the take-me-as-i-am hippie vibe. That dress is great, and i adore the way your pictures are always so arty.
Ah, my favorite group. I just got a very Sgt. Pepper's type of top. I'll post it whenever I wear it!
I love this kind of hippie chic and all those bright bracelets.great post and great blog!
you're an amazing photographer!
thanks for the comment on my blog! and no, its not a reference to kate nash, i just thought it sounded cute lol.
I love the colors of that dress, super trippy!
i live for the beatles, i really do. i love this post, nice pictures.
i linked you by the way, haha (:
Awesome print. Who doesn't love a little bit of the Beatles, eh?
Yes! I grew up with the beatles and I was always shocked when people didn't know who they were!
i wish i was born in the 60's :(

favourite music group ever.
The first song I ever heard was Let It Be!!!!!!!
If you're looking for fashionable hippies, watch the musical Jesus Christ Super Star, it's so funny/killer.
you are definitely a fashion inspiration for me. i love the color. i usually wear dark things, few patterns, few colors.. but now i think i want to change that.
i commented one of your outfits on the tv boards..
i'm maureen :)
great post!
haha when i was like 7 i used to fight w/ my mom that the spice girls were more famous than the beatles - oh how naive i was lol! they are now one of my faves - so revolutionary and yet still so relevant today
I grew up influenced by all things hippie, since I live in San Francisco. And my dad plays the Beatles in the car religiously.
LINKED YOU LADY!
all I can say is... flower power!
haha, sounds a bit like my childhood. my dad was always playing The Beatles and i remember Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds being my favourite song and drawing a picture for it. memories.
I love that song! And the Beatles!
Very cute stuff! Sweet post!

Awesome post! The first bands I listened to were Spice Girls & Backstreet Boys! But yeah, beatles are aweome too! :)
i love this post! and colorful is an understatement! haha
Flower child, haha I love it. I grew up listening to the beatles too. I liked them as a child. But I never grew to really love them until a couple years ago. Now my friends call me their "hippie friend."
BEATLES = LOVE
That's all I have to say.
Heart the post.
I Really like the bright fun colors of your outfit.
I cannot imagine anyone who doesn't know who the Beatles are, at school in elemantry I remember we would listen to their songs all the time in music.
CG,
I always love your pictures so much!
This is such a cute post. The dress is really vibrant too. I wasn't really a flowy 60's person. More like I hung out with my grandma like we were besties everyday and now Frank Sinatra and Billie Holiday can never be topped as my top male and female singers.
love the beatles! specially that song!!
great post!
love your style, love your pictures, and of course the beatles. fantastic blog!
AH! the BEATLES. i am obsessed like mad. i too get weird stares and comments...haha, it's all part of the fun of getting dressed up, don't you think?? :)
This was a great post! I'll probably end up looking back at it tomorrow just because I enjoyed it so much.
I have so much to say, but I'll just leave it at how great your outfit is! I love the dress print and necklaces!
Coincidentally, I'm listening to solo John Lennon right now. And I've always liked the more druggy hippie Beatles music better than the early young British men thing. Hmmm, what does that say about me? ;D
I love this post and the colors!!
Do you mind if i add your link to my favorite blogs on my blog?
What a lovely outfit! I especially like the dress, the colours are so great. The Beatles will always be so inspiring... By the way, there's a concert by Paul McCartney coming up in my city, so I'm excited to hear the ex-Beatle! =)
I love your photography!!
Your outfit is cute and i love that you wrote LOVE on your arm it made me think about the beatles song "All you need is love"
