This is summer. Sharp turns in golfcarts. Pool parties. Eating outside in the hot dusk air with the fireflies. Fresh fruit.

On Friday I will be leaving for our cottage in Holland for five weeks and we will also be going to France for a couple of days. The house is in the middle of the woods and it's vacation so posting/commenting will be sporadic.

I got these granny printed Doc Martens a month-ish ago and I absuloutly love them.They seemed perfect to wear with a girly outfit on a visit to a local farm to get some cold apple cider and flowers. Plus I have always been obsessed with ballerina stuff so they are the perfect remedy to frilly stuff without seeming too sudden.

I got a lot of comments on it, some positive, some negative when I wore it last week (I always seem to post my outfits a while after I wear them.)

At least five perceptive people pointed out that my tights were ripped.

8th Grade Graduation!

Every year the 8th grade moving up ceremony concluds with the students whisper singing an Irish Blessing and then the school Alma Mater. They usually take stage on the lawn in front of the old brick school building. Unfortunately this year it rained and we moved into the ice rink which was decorated with school colors and shrubs.

Boys had to wear navy blazers,khakis and dress shoes while girls were instructed to wear white dresses.

I picked out a flowy white Joie dress from Bloomingdales. It may not have been the sparkliest or most glamorous but the moment I saw it I knew it would be one of those perfect dresses that can work at parties but also dancing in the rain.

These adorable, spastic bunnies were born in our courtyard. It's so strange, they're just these tiny blobs of fur with a heavily beating heart.
