Le Voyage du Ballon Rouge. The Flight of the Red Balloon
Filmed artfully by Hou Hsiao-hsien.
Based on Albert Lamorisse's 1956 children's classic "The Red Balloon"
Starring Juliette Binoche
Fleeting, blurred, sad and happy as life this movie is one of the most beautiful I have seen. The film opens with a young angelic boy talking to a balloon, but there is no climax, no defenite end to the tale. And always throughout the film a red balloon follows like a ghost or pet or the memory of past lovers and friends.

Such adorable pictures. It actually kind of reminds me my favorite scene in the America Beauty movie which the guy who likes to tape everything, shows a little sketch of a plastic paper flying around with the wind and that for him, in a certain way, represented life. It is so beautiful.
those photos are beautiful.
Those are breathtaking. The contrast between the red and the blue, and the picture of the balloon in the window. Gorgeous.
