We are explorers spinning across ombred sand
Given the token of dusty pastel skies
Hands twirling and blocking the shadows
The shadows of fences that strain in soft sand
Undulating across the beaches length
We sleep easy after screaming from our hide and seek spots
And watching the great whales slip sadly beneath sheets of blue
Gather white blankets close and close our eyes
We wake up here and the world is a newborn baby
Bedroom curtains swaying in a silent dance
On and on the mechanical water rolls in and collapses then is pulled back
Sameness stretches on from the window
Given the token of dusty pastel skies
Hands twirling and blocking the shadows
The shadows of fences that strain in soft sand
Undulating across the beaches length
We sleep easy after screaming from our hide and seek spots
And watching the great whales slip sadly beneath sheets of blue
Gather white blankets close and close our eyes
We wake up here and the world is a newborn baby
Bedroom curtains swaying in a silent dance
On and on the mechanical water rolls in and collapses then is pulled back
Sameness stretches on from the window
